I’m Haseeb, a civil engineer and silver medalist graduate from BZU with a focus on structural engineering. Passionate about designing safe, efficient, and sustainable structures, I share insights, research, and practical knowledge to help engineers and students strengthen their technical foundation and professional growth.

The AISC-ASD 9th Edition specifies the modalities of designing steel tubes and columns about steel pipes by balancing against compression stresses and the load imposed. Important aspects here are properties of the cross-section of the column, slenderness ratio and the effective length dependent on the end conditions. Engineers design the chosen section so that it may carry the loads with safety, at least without buckling, using the formulas available in the code.
