About This Steel Structure Revit Model
The model was built to meet a client requirement for a 3D structural representation of a steel framed building. Revit was used to create the model using structural framing families for beams, columns, and bracing elements. The result is a full parametric BIM model that can be used to generate structural framing plans, sections, and schedules directly in Revit.
What the Model Includes
- Steel columns: Modelled using Revit structural column families (W-shapes or equivalent)
- Primary and secondary beams: Full framing layout on each floor level
- Bracing elements: Lateral stability system modelled as structural framing members
- Roof framing: Purlin and rafter layout where applicable
- 3D views and framing plan views generated from the model
